The City of Canton Wastewater Treatment Plant is a B-operated plant permitted to handle 1.3 million gallons of wastewater per day.

It is operated by two licensed operators that ensure all treated water is below the state’s limitations on our permit before it is released back to nature.

The plant also pumps clean water to the Van Zandt County Country Club for golf course irrigation.

The plant is chemical free and uses all-natural processing of wastewater.

On the last inspection conducted, the city received zero demerits and the inspection was fault free.
