Zoning information may be obtained from City Hall at (903) 567-1841. You may view the current Zoning Ordinance by clicking here.
Zoning Changes may be requested by owner of the property through application at the City Hall, 201 N. Buffalo, Canton. The zoning request is placed in the paper as a public notice. All property owners within 200 feet of the property are notified of the application. The request is then reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Commission. The Planning & Zoning Commission’s recommendation is then considered by Council.

Variances to the City of Canton Zoning Ordinance may be requested by the owner of the property through application at the City Hall, 201 N. Buffalo, Canton. Property owners within 200 feet of the property are notified of the application. Meetings are held as needed at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday before the Board of Adjustment. The decision regarding the variance is made by this Board.
